  • Created a storyboard to map out every shot and bring the vision to life.

F45 Social Media Manager

June 2021 - January 2023

F45 recruited me as their first-ever intern for content creation, focusing on photography and graphics for social media. Within months, I was promoted to Social Media Manager at the F45 Forest Acres studio, where I orchestrated the studio's social media presence and ensured brand consistency across multiple locations.

Specific Responsibilities include:

  • Developing a specific brand voice for the Forest Acres location

  • Directing and conducting photoshoots

  • Designing and creating graphics, flyers, and merchandise

  • Planning and scheduling social media posts

  • Video creation from concept through release

  • Executed several social media advertising campaigns

I am particularly proud of the work we did in creating an identifiable brand for the location. The Forest Acres studio was the newest F45 location in South Carolina, and we felt that corporate marketing might have seemed a bit intimidating to the local community. To combat this, I conceptualized and produced several hype videos to boost engagement, and created a series titled “Why I F45” featuring interviews with current members. In addition, I introduced humorous videos to our social media. These videos boosted our engagement and allowed our potential clients to feel more welcomed. Click the box below to see some examples!

Harrell Turner description

Communications Director

January - March 2021

I was honored to be a part of the Harrell Turner campaign during their run for student body President and Vice-President at The University of South Carolina. As the sole digital and graphics resource, I managed all aspects of the campaign's online presence and also handled public relations.

Specific Responsibilities include:

  • Conceptualizing, shooting, and editing multiple photoshoots and videos

  • Designing and developing posters, flyers, social media graphics, and merchandise

  • Designing, producing, and distributing banners and flyers in every campus building and many local establishments

  • Managing public relations and communication

  • Participating in campaign and political strategy

This engagement provided a valuable introduction to marketing and public relations. When I joined, the campaign had limited social media presence. I focused on enhancing the campaign's content and connecting with key accounts and influencers, which broadened the reach of our messaging and secured endorsements from important demographics. For instance, we were the only campaign to engage with social media accounts that reached virtually every student at UofSC, and we delivered voting reminder graphics 'sponsored by' the Harrell/Turner campaign.

Furthermore, this experience was my first exposure to crisis management. A competing campaign launched a negative messaging outreach, attempting to overshadow our campaign with controversies. I was tasked with countering this messaging. I organized indirect responses from external sources to correct the record, while also promoting positive and informative messaging directly from our campaign. This strategy proved successful, resulting in both candidates winning by a significant margin. The campaign was successful, with both candidates winning by a significant margin.

Kappa Kappa Gamma Public Relations Chairman

Nov 2020 - Nov 2021

I was elected Public Relations Chairman of Kappa Kappa Gamma Epsilon Kappa in November 2020. This chapter has over 400 active members with seven council executives overseeing the organization.

Specific Responsibilities include:

  • Managing the sorority’s social media platforms

  • Capturing and creating content

  • Managing several committees and assistants

  • Establishing and upholding our chapter’s brand identity and PR guidelines.

  • Executing a successful recruitment marketing campaign

My favorite assignment was managing Kappa’s social media. I loved creating new ways to engage our audience, adding intiatives such as ‘sisterhood spotlights’, ‘weekly shoutouts’, and ‘mental health Mondays’. Our members loved these new touchpoints and are still in place today. I was also proud of the success of the new PR guidelines I implemented that more accurately represent current social media trends. I concentrated on educating our chapter about online safety through multiple presentations, which immediately caused a decrease in unauthorized content, reducing incidents of enforcement/corrective action inside the Chapter.

Recruitment was the largest and most important project I worked on as PR chair. I was tasked with creating three videos to represent our sorority.

Round one is a PNM’s (potential new member) first introduction to Greek Life. Round one was completely virtual due to the pandemic, increasing the video’s importance.

After premiering the video, we received a 96% return rate from the PNMs, the highest of any Greek Organization that year.

Student Government Communications Director

May 2021 - May 2022

I was nominated by the Student Body President and unanimously approved by the Student Senate to serve as Communications Director of Student Government (SG) in March of 2021. My duties as Communications Director were to serve as the foremost advisor to the SG executives, facilitate all external communication, attend weekly meetings with my team, the executive officers, and other relevant committees, and to manage all social media related to SG.

This role gave me many opportunities, from developing and managing campus-wide campaigns to speaking in front of hundreds of students about my journey. I created and oversaw a communications team of eight students who assisted me in many projects. It required a flexible mindset for unexpected situations, advanced my management and communication skills, and gained knowledge of how large scale organizations function. Most importantly, this role gave me confidence in my quick decision-making skills.

My favorite campaign was “BeYOUtiful Week”, a week dedicated to mental health and positive body image.

  • Collaborated with the office of the student body vice president to organize BeYOUtiful week

  • Created a moodboard and “vibe” for designs

  • Designed multiple posters that were placed in every bathroom on campus for Mirrorless Monday.

  • Directed and produced a photo shoot with appropriate lighting and camera technique featuring volunteer student models.

  • Researched and applied social media strategy to increase student engagement

  • Photographed tabling and events relating to BeYOUtiful week

  • Drafted and released press releases to local news and student organizations

  • Created content such as graphics, photos, and videos.

  • Managed social media campaigns on various platforms
